birds of a feather

cascadia peacock

The Nest Collection of wallpaper from Schumacher is a definite statement.  Each roll of paper is handmade using 'humanely' gathered feathers to create these original, textured wall coverings.  I can just picture it in a room with a cocoon chair hanging from the wall.  Whether you choose to use it as a wall covering or just to frame it behind glass (that would be my choice), this wallpaper would definitely be a conversation piece.  Do you love it or hate it?  I love it.

NEUTRALIZED AND ELECTRIFIED

What do you do with a worn out rug?  Dye it of course!  Check out these over-dyed vintage carpets produced in Turkey, India and Pakistan from the Color Reform series at ABC carpets.  Old carpets are neutralized of their original colour and dyed with electric bright colours  They are amazing!

THOM FILICIA SELLS HOME IN SOHO, NYC

Thom Filicia of 'Queer Eye for the Straight Guy Fame' has sold his SoHo apartment in New York City to his neighbour for $1.7 million.  Thom originally bought the place back in 2004 for $1.2 million so he didn't do too badly for himself.  Enjoy the photos of what Elle Decor 2007 called the 'rus en urbe' design

YES! I AM OBSESSED

I am obsessed with Magenta!  The name drives me crazy but I LOVE the colour, all different shades!  So much so that I am currently on my way to Benjamin Moore to buy a can to redo my powder room.  My husband is going to be so excited!!  Just kidding Dave but it is going somewhere.
