osamu yokonami

Don't you find that sometimes quirky kids photography can be creepy?  I do but I love the works of Japanese advertising photographer Osamu Yokonami.  There are tons of other photos on his site that don't involve kids as well that are worth checking out. Thanks to the online family mag Papier Mache for introducing me to his work.

When I was a kid, the Sony walkman had just been invented.  I have 2 older sisters and my parents were kind enough to buy one for all of us to share.  Yes, one between the 3 of us.  One walkman, 3 sets of earphones.  Thank god for splitters!

Our favourite tape to listen to that we all agreed upon was from the then new band, The Go-Gos.  We would fight between 2 songs though.

And this:

Oh, and this one from the J. Geils Band:

I think they were all top contenders, just that there was a battle of control.

Now your kids can do the same with your iPhone!!!  Check out the Robot Headphone Splitter!  Only $14!

aaahhh cashmere

Les Tricots de Margot is a new label started by two young moms and friends who know how great it is to hold a baby wrapped in cashmere.  All the pieces are super cute and the prices aren't outrageous.

Every baby needs a little cashmere.....!

Check out this video of Willow Smith doing a photo shoot for London Times.  I need to keep this away from my kids or they are going to want to start going to dancing lessons so they can be the next Willow.  What a crazy life!
(PS.  Is it wrong that I am a little obsessed?)

With 2 1/2 weeks off over Christmas break with the kids, I am getting a little worried about how I am going to keep them busy.  These caramel popcorn lollipops seem like a great afternoon activity!

If your wallet is feeling a little small this season but you need some new toys or clothes, simply gather up some gently used toys or clothes and trade them for someone else's toys or clothes sorted  by gender and age group, all for only $5 in shipping.

Is all this Christmas stuff bringing you down?  Check this out, perhaps as a present to yourself!

MID CENTURY MODERN KID STYLE

Wouldn't you love to have a few of these chairs for your house let alone for your kid's room, in kid's sizes!?!  I am still regretting not buying those 2 adult sized egg chairs I found on Craigslist for only $300.  Crazy.
