boom shellac lac boom
I am not one of those people who goes to get my nails done on a regular basis. Firstly, I don't have the time and I also find that my nails chip or smudge within 24 hours. It isn't worth it and is just frustrating.
But last night I attended a party hosted by CND, the company of one of the best new inventions nail colour has seen in a long time, the amazing new product Shellac. I met the co-founder Jan Arnold last night as well. She is passionate about her product and for good reason.
Shellac goes on like regular polish but lasts like gel nails(no idea what those are but that is what I have been told). At least 14 days I have heard! Then your nails start to grow and it looks weird.
And no, that is not me above. It is Isabeli Fontana. But I have to tell you, that is how I felt last night.
I swear, within 1 minute of having my nails done, my hands were in my jean pockets. Nothing. Not a smudge or a dent. Today, not a smudge or a dent. I keep seeing what I think is a smudge but with one swipe, it comes clean.
Shellac is only available at salons and only certain salons at that. And the price is a little more than a regular manicure but in my opinion, totally worth it. There also isn't a huge amount of colours but you can mix colours to come up with whatever you want.
Here is my result.
Please note, it was a polish, not a manicure, something I have not had for ages. My nails don't look amazing but the Shellac does. The colour is Asphalt, a new colour coming out in September. Sometimes it looks black, the next grey and the next navy. Loving it.
And this isn't a paid post and as you can see, I am not a hand model. I just really think the product is great and want to share it.
Don't forget to come back for the week update!!
And thank you to my friend's sister at High View Communications for the invite!
